Thank to everyone who can to my Movie & Discussion night on Vaccination. We watched The Greater Good. A movie demonstrating the pitfalls of vaccination, an issue I feel strongly should be discussed openly. There is a lot of emotion around peoples opinions on vaccination because what we are dealing with is a paradigm - a belief system rather than real science.
Children, young people, healthy people and old people are getting damaged by vaccines. It is totally accepted that some will. That is unfortunate consequence of the 'herd immunity' approach to health care. However for those who fall by the wayside it really isn't ok. It makes folly of the Hippocratic oath taken by all doctors to 'First do no Harm'

The trouble is what we are dealing with is difficult to measure - the effects of long term inflammatory reactions are easily dismissed as coincidental or not related to vaccines. But when autism rates have gone from 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 100, in just 25 years. In same period when the number of vaccines given to children has trebled.... my burning question is how many people will it take to be damaged by vaccination until policy is even looked at let alone changed. What if already the balance has been tipped between those supposedly protected by vaccines and those being damaged?
If you have not seen it then I highly recommend the film The Greater Good and the book by Trevor Gunn Vaccine - This book could remove the fear of childhood illness. This is a great book for any parent wanting to go vaccine free but afraid to.
